Audi, our most popular German lease car, are trying to stay ahead of the game with upmarket music systems in all cars.
From the end of 2013, when the 2014 models begin to trickle through to us, Audi have stated that they will install DAB radio as standard in almost its entire range. Having used the same systemDAB radio in a VW Tiguan for two years I can confirm that it is great. Digital has enabled some local radio stations to go national, for example Smooth Radio and dedicated  digital sports channels, such as Radio Five Live from the BBC.  This means that certain products that are put out to the web will obviously be available on DAB so the volume of available channels  will grow as will the diversity of product. We already have stand alone news channels, along with traffic.
Audi will be partnering the tuning system with either their Bose or Bang & Olufsen premium systems, a spec which has already been fitted to the A8 range.
Additionally, Audi are offering the chance to retro-fit a DAB tuner to your existing system, already some dealers have done this with stock cars.
